Livengood: The Last Stampede

Product Description Livengood: The Last Stampede documents the origins and history of Livengood, Alaska. With the discovery of gold in 1914, people from all parts of the territory of Alaska and elsewhere rushed to the area in what was to become known as Alaska's last stampede. The book describes what it was like living in a mining camp, and highlights major events in Livengood's history. More than 100 photographs show these remarkable people, the roadhouses, the mining operations, and the everyday living conditions in and near the town of Livengood so many years ago.
